When the burner cycle is finished and goes off the pilot is weak and does not reach the thermocouple - then after a few second obviously the pilot goes out. While the burner is on working the pilot does have a flame - but does not engulf the thermocouple. I was relighting the pilot several times a day, and obviously in the morning as the pilot went out overnight. (just like before the thermocouple was replaced). So searching on the web I found replacing the thermocouple was probably what was needed - which I did.īut even though the pilot will light and stay lit with a healthy blue flame that engulfs the thermocouple tip. Are these on the back of the thermostat? I did clean the contacts on the back of the thermostat (they're multiple pins). I have ran into such cases where people's outages only occured from set-backs over night likely because the basement(where the furnace is) got cold, and caused relay contacts or pin connectors to shrink, get stiffer, or whatever. *This does not always work though if the problem is temperature related. Make sure your filter is clean, and regsiters and dampers are open - To see if any of these things helps. And also blow out the condensate lines both ways. Or you could at least disconnect and reconnect spades and pin-connector jacks. Or cycle it many times to see if you can force it to act up, so you can know when it does it*. You either have to wait and see at what stage in the sequence it is going out.

I dropped the record off at my boss's office, and they scheduled a major upgrade of the service within a couple of days. Yup - the gas meter and regulator, sized for the gas range demand, was way too small for the added load. I decided there was a gas pressure problem there, and went to the pressure control department to get a recording manometer which recorded the gas pressures for a week or so. The apartments had been range only accounts for many decades, and recently converted to individual gas furnaces and water heaters. There had been dozens of service calls made on the building in recent months with similar complaints (not quite obvious, since each apartment was separately metered and a separate account.) I was called out to an old large apartment building where the gas equipment kept shutting off. Reminds me of one of my little triumphs when I was a new repairman for the gas utility I once worked for. That can certainly happen, but it's quite rare. I'm thinking it must be some kind of issue caused by new external devices or device updates when the new external device is connected.Has there been construction in your area? New business and homes? All using gas heat? Could be low pressure coming in from the gas main causing a lockout on nights of high gas usage.

My TV is not near a window or a neighbor's window even, so it cannot be somebody else's Roku remote.

I uninstalled the drivers that I was installing when this started happening and restarted my computer, but that also did nothing. I have never used the Roku app and I live alone, so it's not that. I left it on to see how long it would do this and it's been turning off and on for HOURS.
Trying to turn the TV off and on again manually by holding down the button (nothing happens!) I cannot interrupt the process by using the remote at all.

All of a sudden while I'm updating the driver the TV turns off and then starts turning on and off repeatedly. I have the same exact issue! Last night I updated a driver on my PC, which is connected to my TCL Roku TV by HDMI.
